Version 4.11 - 22.01.2020

Some minor bugs have been fixed.

Version 4.10 - 10.01.2020

A short time after our last release we have a new update ready for the App.

  • As a new option the true wind can be logged as a Beaufort value if True Wind is deactivated in the optional fields.

  • In setup you can decide to calculate the distance sailed from your GPS positions. In this case the entry of mileage from your log device is no longer necessary

  • When starting the App after an update, the update procedure is shown to not leave the user clueless about the process.

  • There was a major bug in the crew maintenance, sorry for that! The bug lead to falsification of contact data and to crashing of the app.

  • Furthermore several minor bugs have been corrected.

Version 4.00 - 18.12.2019

Skippertools has been partially redesigned for this version. Upon experiencing various hiccups regarding user friendliness and intuitivity, the UI of the Logbook has been optimized in this regard.

Furthermore the iPhone Version includes now the full functionality including Maintenance and Cashbook.

Upon installing the new Version there will be a conversion of data which can take a little while.

Logbook

  • Logbook Entries of the chosen day are shown in the main Screen

  • Date handling has been corrected for everything West of GMT

  • Day can be changed by using Arrowbuttons to left and right

  • Current Status is shown as Button, tap this button to create a new entry

  • Day/Night switch has been eliminated for simplicity

  • Error for Commands in Event Entries has been eliminated

  • Sail related features have been eliminated for Motor Vessels throughout the App

  • Port and Starbord Engines have been switched, Port is now on the left

  • If device has a builtin Barometer, Pressure of Device will be used

Day

  • Timezone can be chosen for a given day, this is relevant for Ocean crossings

  • Fuel consumption calculation had a major bug which has been eliminated

  • The Engine Log can be displayed, it shows engine hours and fuel situation

Crew

  • Inside the Crew List there are a number of fields (e.g. Passport) which have previously been stored inside the Notes field in the contact. Since Apple restricts the access to the Notes since iOS 13, this is no longer possible. The fields are now kept inside Skippertools. Unfortunately the previous data cannot be converted.

Settings

  • Optional fields have been extended by True Wind and Watch

  • A Polar Diagram can be established for Sailing Vessels

  • Harbors have been redesigned and can be shown in Map

  • A new table for Timezones has been introduced
